A truly accurate and engaging interactive programme that looks, in detail, at the operation of two popular types of central heating systems, a double feed open vented system, and an unvented sealed system, this programme has been designed following the national qualification criteria.
This programme is equally suitable for individual as well as classroom application and will be of immense value to those new to the industry as well as acting as a refresher for those with more extensive experience.
Audio commentary describes each component such as expansion valves and how they work within the system as well as presenting an overview of the complete operating system under varying conditions.
Virtual Reality, graphics and audio commentary as well as scripted dialogue bring this subject to a new level of understanding. You are guided through each central heating system and can select components at will to view detailed imagery and hear audio describing their construction and operation. The programme will promote, stimulate and encourage you to attain high standards of technical understanding and will make the learning process totally enjoyable.
Once you have completed the all the subjects in this programme, you are then invited to test your knowledge and understanding of the subjects covered, 15 key questions and answers are presented by mouse click multi-choice answer selection, at the end your score is produced and you have the option to print your results. Finally a scenario takes you through a real life situation to discover how well you understand the system and the faults that can occur – in this instance a radiator is not working and there’s no hot water to the taps.
